This is totally off-topic but relevant to the tri-cities. We're moving into a new place and we need to get the existing cedar roof replaced. There are so many roofers out there so I'm looking for any personal recommendations to narrow down who we get to quote.
And I'm looking for interior painters too  . |

Replacing with shakes again or duroid?
My friend and I are both ex roofers that do about 6 per year as side work. We do cherry pick easier ones though just to keep them quick. If you are going to do shakes I highly recommend a company that does shakes only. If you are switching to duroid and the pitch is under 6/12 I could get you a price. Stay away from big guys like Taves and Penfolds. They just farm out your work to contract roofers anyway.
Can also get you a price on paint if you like.

We used JR Roofing to do our cedar conversion, our neighbours used them as well to do a re-cedar. We found them to be very professional, hard working, on time , safe and tidy etc etc. |
